What's Therapy Light?
Sunlight is an essential requirement of our life, regulating when our body naturally gets tired at night and wakes up in the morning, when we feel hungry, and has a large impact on our mood. With so much time spent indoors, and especially during winter months, daily sunlight can be harder and harder to come by. With the Memorism TL9 Light Lamp, you can get up to 10,000 lux of LED light (same as sunlight) to regulate your circadian rhythm, improve your mood, and help you feel more productive no matter the season or the weather.
3 Adjustable Color Temperatures
Choose from one of three color temperature settings for the optimal ambiance for you. See more details about each color temp below.
5 Adjustable Brightness Levels
Hold the sliding dimmer to adjust the brightness level of the full-spectrum light from 2,000-10,000 lux to find the perfect setting for you without being too bright like other therapy lamps.

Circadian rhythms control many human functions, both physical and mental, and one of the most powerful influences on those rhythms is the hours of sunshine we're exposed to. Among all of the effects of getting too little sunshine, usually because of shorter Winter days but also because of work conditions or hours, is a sense of lethargy and often of depression. This has been identified as Seasonal Affective Disorder (leading to what may be the most descriptive acronym in medicine) and the results can range from mildly disruptive to debilitating. This Memorism Aura TL9 Light Therapy Lamp has been particularly effective for my wife and me in fighting that condition.
We were very impressed with the high quality construction of this lamp; the attached base, which is also useful for hanging the lamp on a wall if that's your desire, solidly supports the lamp on a shelf, table or desk, and adjusts the lamp to any angle from horizontal to vertical. The face of the lamp is a smooth, unblemished dome which, when it's on, gives the impression of seeing the Sun or Moon, though of course without damaging rays. The smooth circular outline is pleasant and relaxing with no corners or straight lines to distract or engage the eye; the light produced by our Memorism Aura TL9 Light Therapy Lamp is extremely even with no blotches or variations. Within seconds it simply becomes part of the background while fooling our brains into believing we're enjoying a few extra hours of daylight. We have both found it very effective in boosting both our mental energy and mood, and for "waking us up" physically.
Setup and adjustment are very easy - simply remove the lamp from its elegant packaging, set the angle of the base, plug in the power adapter (with six-foot cord) and it's ready to use. Three buttons on the side of the unit let you select color temperature and adjust brightness up or down as needed. We found the 5500-6000K color temperature most effective in the morning, and the 2700-3000K "warm white" best in the afternoon and evening. We were hoping the "Memory Function" would let us control the lamp with an Alexa-linked smart socket by returning to its last setting when powered up, but this was not the case - it appears the lamp "remembers" its previous brightness setting if it's turned off by its own switch but not if power is interrupted. If the power is removed, the lamp must be turned back on manually, and defaults to the "standard" brightness level of about 6000 lux. This has not proved to be a problem; we are very happy with our Memorism Aura TL9 Light Therapy Lamp and enjoy using it.
I thought this whole "happy light" thing was a bunch of malarkey, honestly; but when I tried it in the awful dark winter months on the recommendation of a friend, I found that it actually does help! The attachment/stand is open so you can either set it on a flat surface OR hang it on something. I hang it on a shelf in my bathroom and use it while I get ready in the morning, and then I'm less cranky for the rest of the day.
The order comes with one (1) light therapy lamp. It's a round lamp with the head facing out. It sits on a slim metal stand that is adjustable. You can decide on the angle for the lamp. On the trim of the light, there are three buttons to control the lamp settings. These switches control temperature, brightness, and on and off switch. There are three color temperatures and five levels of brightness that you can control. The buttons are tiny and sometimes can be hard to press on their own. The lamp itself is lightweight. I have to hold the lamp down to use the buttons otherwise it's pretty flimsy. You can change the temperature first then adjust the brightness or vice versa. The lamp shines very brightly even at its lowest brightness setting.
Good Light, Nice For Certain Situations Stand But Otherwise Need More Sturdy!
Out of all of the Light Therapy Lights I have tried lately (which I think is 5) this might be the best light with the worst stand!
It has 3 different shades/versions of light modes that all can be super bright or extremely dimmed.
I like that the stand can be flipped/rotated to use at multiple degrees, but at certain degrees it becomes unstable and what you would call top heavy I guess. The stand would be nice for hanging, but a stand with a little more weight would be more useful! I also don’t like that some of the metal around the rim of the light looks a little beat up in some places which make it look cheap or not of good craftsmanship… but the light & its 3 different hues with multipolar brightness levels are really really nice!
I live in the subtropics, but my home doesn't have windows positioned for optimal sunlight, and in the winter it can be quite dreary indoors. This affects the mood of everyone in my family, and previously there was little to be done for it when the skies are cloudy for days- if not weeks at a time. I chose this lamp to help my family and I fight off the dreariness that comes along with the times when it's too cold and/or wet to go outside, and to help brighten moods.
This lamp only has three temperatures of light, and though this may be sufficient for some, I prefer a bit more variation in the shades of light. I also don't really like the controls being on the side of this lamp- I have another with the controls on the front for ease of use that I prefer.
However, I do like that I can hang this on the wall. It's a bit too big to sit on my desks, but it works much better for my small space when hung up.
This lamp does make a difference for my my family and myself during the times when the weather outdoors isn't suitable to be in, and it's also great for lighting up areas in my old home that the ceiling lamps don't quite reach.
There are things I would change about this lamp, but it does work well enough for my purposes for me to be reasonably happy with it.
