Intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment is a method of hair removal where intense flashes of light are used to gently heat up hair follicles and prevent or reduce the regrowth of hair. The medical-grade U8 IPL hair removal uses a broad spectrum of intense light (5-10J) across multiple wavelengths (530 nm) to safely and gently reduce hair growth. The U8 is equipped with an advanced skin sensor that automatically reads your skin tone and provides the safest and most effective hair reduction.
IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment works best on light to medium skin tones. This IPL treatment may not work very well if you have a darker complexion or are extremely tan.
On the opposite end, IPL is more effective on darker hair and less effective on light-colored hair. This is because darker hair has more melanin which acts to absorb the light from the machine.
This can be a little confusing, so match your approximate skin and hair tones to the chart on the right to determine if IPL treatment is suitable for you. It’s not that it won’t work, it just may take longer than 4-8 weeks to see a reduction in hair growth.

While the awesome ice cooling system soothes my treated skin to ensure it’s protected from irritation. Plus, with almost a million flashes within my grasp, my days of battling prickly hairs are surely over!
I bought one of similar hair removal device from Silk’n back in 2015. Okay, that has been many many years ago. It was around $300 at that time. It was only been used less than 3 times. It hurts to use it. It was very painful to me. In a point that I turned to the lowest setting and it still hurts. I was hesitating to try hair remover devices ever since. I decided to give this a try because what the product says it is painless, and with cooling function. I am so glad I did. It is really painless. This device started with 999999, and I was slowing trying the settings. Like the description says, there no fancy useless setting there. This device kept everything easy and down to the point. 5 levels to figure out the best settings that fits me. I was able to slowing moving from level 1 to level 4 without any pain at all! Literally NOT Pain At ALL! I started to feel little discomfortable at level 5, so I went back to level 4.
Also, this device reacts very fast, with Silk’n device, it take seconds to flash and more seconds to start next flash, there was holding times. With this device, there is no wait time at all. I started next flash right away after the previous one is done. None stops and keep on going painlessly.
I am very satisfied with this device. Highly recommended! Device is small, smooth, easy to hold on. Sunglass is okay but it saves me from digging my bags trying to look for a sunglass. No complaints at all!
So this isn't my first laser hair removal rodeo; I have used another home device and have that for reference. This one is better, by far, just by the instructions alone. The thing about laser hair removal is that it's a process, takes time, is a bit uncomfy, and it may not even work for everyone. I've found that, by following the upkeep, it does seem to reduce my hair growth. For reference, I have tan skin and thin, dark hair. Apparently, these devices need a contrast between hair color and skin color in order to work, and if your skin tone is too far on either end of the color spectrums, it won't function properly.
I've found that it does seem to reduce hair growth; you need to shave the area before using the light (the absolute tiniest shaving razer I'd included, though I didn't use it because I thought the novelty of its smallness was too cute to use). At the beginning, the hair grew back after treatment, but eventually, after going the 3 uses our week route, I found that the hairs slowly began growing back slower. While I think this works, it feels like just shaving with extra steps, and waxing would probably just be easier and reduce growth, to a lesser extent.
The instructions claim that some skin discomfort and redness might happen, and I didn't experience that too much, even though I have sensitive skin. But this device is really nice in that it has a 'cooling' feature, so I tried to anyway. This feature does feel quite soothing. However, if I had felt any significant pain from the hair removal that required soothing, I likely would not have continued using it.
Back to the instructions, I highly recommend reading them all the way through before using the device. The buttons are a tad difficult to read, and usage isn't really intuitive. You don't want to get the light going when it's not again skin or without the included sunglasses; it is bright and a definitely jarring if you're not expecting it. Though, it does need to be plugged in in order to turn on; it doesn't charge.
I'm basing this review on the device itself and not really these devices in general. I think this one does what it's supposed to do to standard (over time, continual use), and if you're looking to try it out, this is one of the better ones to pick.
This Linglee IPL Hair Removal Device is really nice. It comes in a very nice box with protective glasses for your eyes, a razor (not so good) , and an easy to follow instruction booklet.
This IPL has a cooling feature which is really nice.
It has 5 settings to choose from which is much easier than some IPL devices that I have tried in the past. It's basically simplified to 5 settings and choose from auto or manual flash. Very easy to use. It's easy to hold because it's small also. This is probably one of the smaller IPL's that I have seen. It still packs the same power though!
As for hair removal, I just started using it so I can't really say how well it's working yet. I feel it's working good but I won't know for another 6 weeks probably. I will have to check back and update my review then. So far I really like this device though!
As there are many methods of removing unwanted body hair it can be unpleasant.
I have waxed, but since I have delicate skin it becomes painful. Shaving has produce tiny nicks on my skin causing soreness and irritation. Also, I have used creams and it doesn't work. Its been a few days and I have started seeing the results as expected.
